Celebrating the return of the gray whales off the coast, the annual March Festival of Whales presents displays, a parade and many fun activities. Thousands of whales come through the waters off Dana Point, attracting more than 100,000 visitors each year to the town. During the festival parades, exhibits, concerts, activities, educational opportunities and whale watching excursions, among other activities, are readily available.
